The beauty of our picnic service is that you can book just about anywhere!
CITY PROPERTY
We've taken care of any questions about bylaws! If you're ever unsure about where to book or need some ideas feel free to contact us, we'd be happy to recommend based on your occasion!
Some suggestions include:

City Parks (Marina, Centennial, Vickers, Hillcrest etc)

PROVINCIAL PARKS, CROWN LAND,& TREATY LAND
Provincial parks like Sleeping Giant or Kakabeka we charge an additional $15 fee to cover day passes. You are still responsible for any vehicle day passes you require

Crown land (example a decommissioned logging road) is perfectly acceptable!
We are honoured to be living on the land of Fort William First Nations and under the Robinson Superior Treaty and any request for Chippewa reserve that is not the park (ex. Mount McKay area etc) requires permission which we will ask for but we cannot guarantee those requests.
Privacy right on the lake- Choose to stay at one of two cabin locations and enjoy your picnic event on beautiful Surprise Lake!
Cabins can host 2-6 guests and offer the perfect settings for a romantic get away or fun bachelorette party weekend! So if you're looking for the dream location to celebrate with a picnic this is it! Book through Airbnb and follow directions to include your picnic experience

Weather, bugs and cancellations
Regarding bugs:
We offer Thermacell for an additional 10$ fee (see our Add-Ons section) and if you select this option, we will make sure it is set up in advance to get the handle on are pesky little friends
Regarding weather:
We try everything within our power to make your picnic event happen. However weather does sometimes get the better of us. If you're booking shoulder season or have any hesitations about being rained out please consider booking our bubble picnic package!
Regarding cancellations:
If the weather is such that we (Poppy's Picnics) decides we are unable to service your outdoor picnic we will offer the option to reschedule your picnic within peak season (May through September). Please discuss with us if this is not able to happen for you and we will issue you a full refund. We do strongly suggest you have an idea for a backup indoor location such as in a living room or under a gazebo in a backyard so your special event can still happen rain or shine!
